Glosso, the University of Jaén’s technology spin-off specializing in the design of advanced intelligent systems, has received an award from the Secretary of State for Defense (SEDEF) as part of the CETEDEX – ISDEFE – UJA Open Innovation Lab, a program that promotes open innovation in the service of national defense and security.

The event, held in Jaén and presided over by the Secretary of State for Defense, María Amparo Valcarce, highlights the role of the organizations that contribute to the development of CETEDEX (Technology Center for Development and Experimentation), one of Spain’s major strategic technology hubs.
The laboratory—led by ISDEFE, in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Jaén and the University of Jaén—seeks to forge partnerships with technology companies, startups, and educational institutions to reduce development times, promote new solutions, and maintain strategic advantages in key areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, anti-drone systems, and autonomous vehicles.

This recognition comes at a time when the University of Jaén is actively participating in the CETEDEX Innovation Lab, and Glosso is part of the innovation ecosystem linked to the ISDEFE–CETEDEX–UJA Chair agreement, which focuses on artificial intelligence technologies, anti-drone systems, autonomous vehicles, and advanced analysis and experimentation solutions.
